Be The Good
Be The Good is Black Diamond Experts’ program to give back to our community.
Your trust in our company has made it possible to help those in need in our community and we thank you for that. Check out some of the ways we helped our community this year.
Supporting The Boys and Girls Club
In January, we supported the Boys and Girls Club with their fundraising auction by donating a Home Care Kit. The kit included a 1-year home maintenance membership plan ($197 value), Bottle of Total C: Drain Maintenance ($65 Value), 2 USB Outlets ($50 Value), and a Nest Thermostat ($130 Value).
Helping in St George When It Was Really Needed
In February, after helping a St George resident with their water heater, it was discovered that she had an extremely old HVAC system that was in serious need of replacement. This was a great financial hurdle for her and left her distraught. Our team wanted to help so we worked with a local vendor to have a new furnace and air conditioning system donated. Black Diamond Experts donated the labor to get her heating and air conditioning system replaced. She was very grateful and we were honored to be able to help her.
Helping Sandbag During Winter/Spring Flooding
In early May, high snowpack combined with torrential rain led to flooding and debris flows throughout Northern Utah. Black Diamond Expert employees worked with community members to fill sandbags helping to divert water away from homes and businesses.
Helping a Family with a Flooded Home
A family who had recently encountered hardships was devastated when a flash flood and debris flow hit their home. Their basement was filled with water and mud destroying their electrical system and water heater. Through our Be The Good Program we were able to make a difference to help this family in their time of need.
We’ve sponsored local high schools by helping them purchase their spirit t-shirts.
We supported Granite School District by building food kits for district families that need food assistance.
We supported Granite and Jordan School Districts by donating school supplies.

Be The Good Furnace Donation
Sometimes people just need some extra help and we love to be able to provide that when we can. This was the case for a local community member who was in need of a new furnace.
Helping Families With Some Much Needed Home Repairs
Earlier in the year, we set out on a mission to complete home repairs for families in need. We asked you to submit the most deserving families you knew and boy, did you deliver!
We were able to replace water heaters, expansion tanks, a furnace, re-wire an entire home from 1955, and rusty plumbing. Our pals at Crusader even donated a brand new water softener. How cool are they?!
Black Diamond Experts Donates A Heating & Cooling System To Red Barn Academy
Black Diamond Experts is always on the lookout for ways to help our community. We learned about the great things that the folks at Red Barn Academy were doing and recognized a way that we could help, by providing them with a heating and cooling system for their gym.
Watch our video to learn about Red Barn Academy and how having a new ductless mini-split system is going to help their students. Visit Red Barn Academy’s website to learn more about their program.
Follow our service manager, Steve James, as he tells us about Red Barn Academy and the installation of their new heating and cooling system.
Black Diamond Experts Winter Coat Drive
Black Diamond Experts continued its tradition of giving back to our community by partnering with Rock 106.7 KAAZ and the Volunteers of America Utah to collect and donate winter clothing items to help keep our community members, who need a little extra help, warm all winter.
Throughout the month of November, we collected coats, gloves, scarves and any other clothing to help provide warmth. We provided drop off locations and even offered to drive out to pick up donations. We also offered discounts to our wonderful customers who wanted to help donate an item or two to help keep our community warm.
All coats and winter items were donated to Volunteers of America, Utah which provides help for vulnerable individuals and populations who struggle with homelessness, addiction and mental illness in our community.
We Gave Away Furnaces to Four Deserving Families
Through our Be The Good program we asked the great people in Utah like you, to nominate three amazing families who deserve a new furnace for their home.
We received numerous nominations. Instead of picking just three families, we selected four. Black Diamond provided a brand new furnace and complete installation free of charge to these families.
Fox13’s The Place. was there when we delivered a furnace to a deserving family.
Watch our HVAC manager Chris Sullivan talk about our Lift Our Community program on Fox13’s The Place.
We were happy to provide new furnaces to the Holt Family in Sandy, Farnsworth Family in Orem, Priest Family in Clearfield, and Swenson Family in Layton.
We want to thank all those who submitted a nomination. Please accept our sincere gratitude for caring for our community and your neighbors.
